Raj Saini JP was an active member of the Labor Party . Resigned from Labor and contesting as an Independent Candidate for the Senate election 2025

In this capacity, Raj has worked on grassroots mobilization, community engagement, and policy advocacy to strengthen party initiatives.

Currently serving as a delegate for the Australian Workers’ Union (AWU) within the Labor Party, Raj plays a crucial role in representing the interests of workers and advocating for fair policies.

Through his political involvement, Raj has been instrumental in ensuring that the voices of migrants and the South Asian community are heard within the broader political discourse.

COVID-19 Relief Efforts

During the pandemic, Raj led initiatives such as grocery kit donations and meal distributions, ensuring essential support reached the most vulnerable members of the community. His efforts were widely acknowledged and appreciated by both the community and government bodies.

As a Justice of the Peace, Raj provides critical services such as witnessing affidavits, certifying documents, and supporting legal formalities, ensuring accessible justice for all members of society.

Consumer Advisor

Mercy Health Hospitals (2020 – Present)

Raj serves as a Consumer Advisor, contributing to policy discussions and healthcare improvements that directly benefit the community. His role includes providing feedback on patient information materials and participating in focus groups to enhance healthcare accessibility.

Cultural & Religious Engagement

Raj has been instrumental in organizing religious and cultural events, fostering unity among diverse communities. His contributions include:

Leading the Telangana Martyrs Mourning Event (2011, 2015) with over 800 attendees.

Organizing the Lord Ganesh Festival in Braybrook (2014) with 1500 participants.

Coordinating the Bonalu Festival at Rock Bank Temple (2016) with 2000 attendees, featuring the Mayor of Hyderabad as a chief guest.
